The most commonly asked questions from small business folks like towers are asked to join a trade association are, "What can the association do for me. What will I get for my money?" Because membership does involve a financial investment, these are perfectly legitimate questions. MTTA feels that, in reality, membership does not cost. It actually pays. MTTA performs many worthwhile and beneficial functions for its members.

     You reap the benefits that only a cooperative organization can provide, including the power associated with numbers. Through MTTA, members have an interactive liaison with law enforcement and the Department of Motor Vehicles. A special committee is available to help resolve towers with specific problems or situations. Members are kept informed about law changes and legislative actions, and bills have been passed by MTTA to benefit towers. Discounts are available on items such as fusees and cones. MTTA also provides a free accidental death/dismemberment policy. And members receive reduced rates on training classes and seminars.

     To be successful in its endeavors to benefit its members, as well as the towing industry and the safety of Montana, MTTA must have the financial and physical support and involvement of its members. After all, MTTA is your organization, working with you and for you.

     Membership in Montana Tow Truck Association is open to all towing companies engaged in the business of the transportation and recovery of motor vehicles within the State of Montana. Regular membership dues are $200 per year. Membership applications submitted later than April of the current year are calculated at the rate of $17.00 per month to the end of the calendar year.

     Associate Membership in the association is open to those who supply goods and/or services to those in the towing business, those towing companies not doing business within the State of Montana, and those towers in the state who would like to become members but are not interested in voting privileges. Associate membership dues are $100 per year.

     To become a member, fill out this form, print, and return it to the MTTA office (address below) along with your check for your dues for the calendar year. Checks should be made payable to Montana Tow Truck Association.
